Hi, greetings to you in the Lord. On Friday 15th June, a few friends and I made a visit to our close friend, Adrian Moucka’s grave in Killyleagh. While standing around my thoughts went back to the many times we spent with him, how he was always there for us, no matter what the situation, with encouragement. As we reflected on Adrian’s life we were reminded of how important it is for us to look out for each other daily.
God loves you – He really does. 1 John 3v1 says, ‘how great is the love the Father has lavished on us’. Nothing could make God love us more than He does right now. Not greater achievement, beauty, recognition or even spirituality. And nothing could make Him love us less, not our character, flaws or past failures and regrets. The irony is that we spend our lives trying to earn a love that can only be received by faith when we acknowledge that within us God is the challenge of a lifetime.
Many of us may have grown up with parents who withheld their love as an expression of their disapproval and sometimes we may think that God does this also, but he doesn’t. As we have seen, how great is the love the Father has lavished upon us that we should be called the children of God. And that is exactly what we are.
C. S. Lewis wrote, ‘God, who needs nothing, loving into existence wholly superfluous creatures in order that He may love and perfect them. God did not create us because He was bored, lonely or had run out of things to do. He created us to be the objects of His love. Sometimes our actions make us unlovely but we are never unloved. And because God loves us we have a value that no one can take away. God’s love revealed at Calvary fastens itself onto flawed creatures like us and for reasons that none of us can fathom, makes us precious and valued beyond calculation. This is love beyond reason, this is the love that God has for each of us.
God Bless,
Eddie

I.O.M TT 2007
Saturday 25th May started the 100th year of the TT. With practice already under way Eddie headed off on the Tuesday to get the stand, etc. sorted out before race week started. I set of on the Friday night. With delayed boats we got into the IOM in daylight, which was a blessing in itself as it made following Eddie’s directions to my digs a little easier. With a couple of hours sleep it was up and away to the paddock to meet up with David and Steve. With something like 80.000 visitors to the island this year it was a mission field not to be missed. As usual we met up with both old and new friends. Our main witness is to share God’s love with all those we meet, not only the public but also to those traders around us as they sell their merchandise we give our gift away free. On one occasion we had a girl stop with us who some several yearspreviously had taken one of our tracts from the stand and then this Easter while at a Church service had seen another Fireblade tract and it was through planting that seed many years before that the Lord worked in her life and brought her to salvation. We also had those stop with us to let us know that they had recommitted their lives to the Lord. Over the week we handed out literature to those who called with us, French, German, Chinese and of course the Irish.
On the Sunday morning it was the usual Grandstand Service and at it rider, Shaun Harris from New Zealand gave his testimony. Unfortunately Shaun was later badly hurt during Superstock race. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Shaun and his family at this time and we wish him a speedy recovery.
Tuesday morning 3.00am came to soon for me as it was time to board the boat again to head back home but Eddie, David, Steve and Tony continued the Lords work until Friday when it was time to take the stand down until next year. A big thank you goes to all those who put us up and fed us on the island and especially to Uel Duncan Racing who transported all our display stuff over for us.
